Duane Edwards is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Sociology at the University of Guyana. He also serves as Director of the Graduate School of Social Sciences at the University of Guyana. He holds a PhD in Sociology from the University of the West Indies, Cave Hill Campus where he worked briefly. Dr. Edwards has published various articles and books in the field of Sociology. His most recent book is Ethnic Stratification and Structural Pluralism in Guyana.
